UBa's VC urges 2355 graduates to be flag bearers.

The University of Bamenda has called on over  2300 graduates to be ambassadors of the institution. 
This was during a convocation ceremony to award certificates to graduating students of the institution. The chairlady  of the event Prof Theresia Nkuo- Akenji who acted as the personal representative of the minister of state, minister of higher education, chancellor of academic orders and as Well as Vice chancellor of University of Bamenda, urged the students to be flag bearers of the institution and to contribute to the nation's ermergence by putting knowledge acquired into practice

The values of giving back to the intituation was also highlighted by the President of the University  of Bamenda Alumni association Bonuh Clement.  He announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with an agency known as Globus systems intended to source for scholarship opportunities for UBa students.
 
The convocation ceremony saw Fon Thelma Verynuy ermerging as the best graduating student with a GPA of 3.82 on a scale of 4.

The graduation ceremony also saw the award of diplomas to the pioneer batch of engineers from the National Higher Polytechnic Institute. The  close to 200 graduates are expected to fill the void in the engineering field in the country.  The National Higher Polytechnic Institute was created in 2017 by a presidential decree following complaints from striking Anglophone Teachers and Lawyers.
