President Biya decrees creation of new state universities

The President of the republic of Cameroon Paul Biya Wednesday January 5th 2022 signed a decree creating three new state universities.

The decree saw the creation of the universities of Garoua, Ebolowa and Bertoua.

This adds to the eight existing ones making a total of eleven state universities in the country.

The signing of the decree happened almost a week after Paul Biya announced the coming of three new higher institutions of learning in his traditional end of year speech to the nation.
